I loooove music. I am not a musician. Some of my best friends are amazing musicians. Creating gig posters is the way I get to be a part of a community that is so important to me.

I designed this poster for Austin musicians and friends Bill Davis and Graham Wilkinson, who happen to share a birthday and decided to have a show about it. I used Photoshop to apply the sepia tone to the photos, and the layout was done using Adobe InDesign.

Bill Davis is perhaps one of the finest songwriter’s in Austin, Texas. He also sings alright. When He turned 50, he asked me to make a poster for a birthday show. This is all I could come up with. It was created using equal parts Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and head-scratching.

A Hoot Night is an Austin tradition wherein local musicians perform versions of the honored artist songs, well-known or obscure. Adobe Photoshop was used to mimic the style of the seminal 1980s groups album covers, and the poster was laid out and typeset in Adobe. InDesign
The poster was made for a friends Neo-rockabilly trio for their first gig at a club in Los Angeles, California. The poster was created entirely on Adobe Illustrator.
